About Roger
4 years ago, I went through a dramatic shift that opened my experience to higher consciousness, God, the divine… As a young 21-year-old filmmaker, I had “achieved” so much. I had already completed production and editing on my first feature film, “Moonshine”. But I felt a sad hollow feeling throughout my life – nothing fulfilled me. One night, in my frustration, I decided to walk down the railroad tracks, not stopping until I got an answer to the question: Does God exist?
That night and the months that followed, I got my answer. A door of miracles was opened in my mind, and the borders of the impossible and the possible shifted. Thank God, this life is always more than we think it is.
At that point, another quite unexpected thing occurred. My film was submitted to the Sundance film festival by an inspired film rep named Craig Kestel. In 2006, “Moonshine” was in official selection, making me the youngest feature filmmaker in Sundance history. This blessing encouraged me to get back into filmmaking.
Since then, my focus has shifted to using this gift as a service. I’ve travelled to the poorest places in Nigeria and Argentina with a non-profit, filmming and assisting with their work. My upcoming efforts are moving into the realms of a new and unexplored genre called spiritual cinema.
